Neurologist

My neurologist is scheduling me for an updated brain MRI and is also adding my spine and neck into the MRI. When he was checking my reflexes, he felt my knee reflexes were too strong on both legs. I also couldn't feel a freezing cold object on both of my feet but could feel it as the object progressed up my legs. I asked about Chiari Malformation and he said that he would make sure to look for that on the MRI.

My headaches that I get frequently he is calling vascular headaches...a mix combo of migraines and tension headaches. We're going to give Elavil a try again since I've been off it for over a year....hopefully as he said my body has had a long enough break from it and Elavil will help prevent them.

Regarding my insomnia, we're going to give the Elavil two weeks on 10mg's and if I don't have any improvement I can take two a night....if that doesn't work, I will see a sleep specialist and see what they have to say.

I hope it all goes well for you and the Elavil works for you. I was on that a few years ago and it knocked me out, but in the morning I felt sick like I had a hangover and none of the fun times that usually come from the night before. Plus it was EVERYDAY! It was killer. I hope it helps with your Migraines though. They are so tiring.
