EDS Kids is a support group and community dedicated to helping children and young adult who suffer from chronic pain resulting from illnesses and genetic conditions like Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS for short) is a genetic connective tissue disorder which primarily causes chronic joint pain and joint dislocations. EDS Kids is a community dedicated to helping not only sufferers of EDS but their family and friends too.

Hello everyone. I think we all know what it's like at one point or another to not be believed.

I just got news that my classmate, Val, passed away.



I did not know her very well but we were at least friendly with each other.

Apparently Val had Fibromyalgia and her doctor didn't believe her and wouldn't treat her. He just threw vicodin at her and expected it to fix it. I don't know about you guys but vicodin didn't help my fibro pain... just my EDS pain.

Anyway she just kept taking more and more vicodin until the pain stopped... killing her liver and eventually her heart.

I came here to ask you guys to please pray for her soul to have peace and for her family.

Wow. Praying for her, and her family. SO sorry to hear about that.

I recently lost a friend who died of a brain tumor. She was 16 years old.
