Welcome To EDS-Kids
EDS Kids is a support group and community dedicated to helping children and young adult who suffer from chronic pain resulting from illnesses and genetic conditions like Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS for short) is a genetic connective tissue disorder which primarily causes chronic joint pain and joint dislocations. EDS Kids is a community dedicated to helping not only sufferers of EDS but their family and friends too.

hi i'm new
hi i'm lauren, or paxton, or pax, whichever you prefer.

i know a few people here from bydls, that's how i found this, a link was posted on bydls.

i was diagnosed in... 2001? i think with hyper mobility syndrome.

was going my little "let's gross everyone out" thing in december 2008 at PT during the wheelchair clinic... got diagnosed with EDS III.

my most hyper mobile joints are my elbows. the ones i dislocate the most are my ankles.

i have very mild skin involvement. cuts dont heal very fast. i still have all three picc line scars even though the last one was over 3 months ago. the oldest one is over 8 months old and is still there. my scars from a surgery in 2004 are also still weird.

about me ummm...

i'm a buddhist, i play bass guitar, i collect things with lobsters on them, i also collect uglydolls. i love hockey and baseball. i'm a sociology major/technical theatre and lighting minor. i'm a real life ghost hunter, i've been on 4 investigations with my team. i love mangos and strawberries. i have a cat named monk. i have brown hair and pink bangs. i watch far too much law and order and oz. i want to be an orthotist after i graduate. i like bunnies. i'm irish italian french and native american. i ramble alot.

The closest I ever got was Guitar Hero and I have to tape my fingers LOL or else I'll rock out and they'll come out!

Steph, I know it's horrible to laugh. But I can only see you now playing Guitar Hero. Atleast you found a way to prevent them for coming out or so I hope.
