Ouchie. I have a lot of problems with my joints but mostly my knees and shoulders. Sophie, have you had any surgeries at all?

Has anyone had any luck with braces? I've always been disappointed by them. The unstableness would just travel along to an unbraced joint. I would brace my ankles and then need to brace my knees, which would make my hips unstable and I would have to brace them as well. I found it to be not worth the trouble

dislocations happen every once in a while, but subluxations happen CONSTANTLY.
mainly in my knees... but also in my fingers/wrists, hips and ankles.
I have knee braces from past surgeries that i use occasionally... they help the dislocations a little bit but they mainly seem to ease the day to day aching in my knees especially while im walking. it makes me walk more normally instead of my weird turned in hip/knee limp walk which is much less painful in the long-run

I find that braces are not for me, but have helped my other friends.
It's almost hard to judge unless you have tried them to make sure they work for you or not.

I wear braces on my knees, ankles and wrists and need splints for my fingers. They are my godsend as I'm not allowed surgery and PT does not work for me at all.

Glad braces work for you

Mine seem to put more pressure on the ones that don't have any.
